January 2025 Astrology Overview
The biggest news–and the most important for 2025, in my opinion–is that the North Node leaves Aries and enters the sign of Pisces at 29 degrees. The North Node represents where your soul is urging you to expand, and consequently where you’ll see the most opportunities and luck! The house(s) where Pisces is in the chart reveals the unique area specific to you where this will be relevant. With that said, the South Node will also be shifting from Libra into Virgo. The South Node represents where hidden blocks or negative influences are impacting your ability to expand in the area(s) that the North Node is pointing you to. While we may have ideas of the obstacles in our path, often the South Node will bring surprises that, while immensely uncomfortable, give you the chance to release what no longer serves you once and for all. The North Node will remain in the sign of Pisces for approximately 18 months so expect to be dealing with the themes of the related house(s) through summer of 2026. Since this important transition is happening in January, it aligns perfectly with your year ahead planning. Expect momentum and motivation to pick up at the end of the month when Uranus goes direct and eventually come into a supportive harmony with the North Node in the coming months. Working with the moon cycle
Every moon cycle can be divided into 4 phases:
New moon - Use these first 7 days to rest more by keeping your schedule light and prioritize extra time with Spirit.
Waxing moon - Over these 7 days you’ll notice that your motivation and momentum increases. Take action in pursuit of your goals!
Full moon - These 7 days will give you peak energy and drive. This is great for social activities like events, meetings, etc.
Waning moon - These final 7 days are best for knocking out the “To Do” list and strategizing.
Capricorn Moon Cycle (December 29th - January 28th)
The Capricorn cycle invites us to work on making ‘real’ that which we have aligned ourselves with at a soul level. We must really put in the effort and strive to bring the best of our abilities to the manifestation of these things. The time for constant rumination is over! Instead diligent, detailed, and excellent work is required. You’ll know you have ‘succeeded’ when those things outside of your control which have seemed to be on pause suddenly shift and open up. If that hasn’t happened yet, then there’s still more work for you to do or more things you still need to take care of. Don’t skip steps - be appreciative for this time of discipline. Capricorn won’t give a reward unless the work is put in.

Personal Insight
Mercury in Capricorn asks us to tap into our courage and explore new things beyond our current knowledge base and understanding. This does not negate or diminish our current expertise or lifelong experience. Whatever is next for us will not be birthed in isolation. After attaining a new state of internal balance between mind and emotions, it can be daunting to figure out where exactly to direct this newly accessed power. There may be a tendency to try to fit or mold to what is around us. However, we are encouraged to hold strong to that which we’ve fought so hard to attain and attract others who are similarly aligned.
Business Insight
Mercury transiting Capricorn invites you to spend time focusing on one particular product or service that you can use to expand your business in new ways. It’s time to test the waters in your network/community to see where interest lies. Remember - business is a relationship; all parties must agree to the terms in order for a transaction to take place. Just because you are passionate about something and think it will benefit others does not mean that they think/feel the same way. Be willing to try often--and fail often--as you have these conversations. This activity is important in pursuit of what may ultimately be the next feasible option in the evolution of your business.
Mercury in Aquarius (January 27th - February 13th)
Personal Insight
Mercury in Aquarius helps us have a much easier time contemplating spirituality and complex topics while also opening up our ability to communicate with divine beings more readily. This will be a fantastic time to get lots of spiritual downloads from your Higher Self. Trust the messages centered on Divine Love, Cosmic Law, and ways to bring about internal balance. This emerging path of humanity requires new guidance, new insight, and new inspiration. (To be clear, it’s “new” to us but not actually “new”.) Let your inner wisdom through your body consciousness and Higher Self be the Truth Tellers.
Business Insight
Mercury in Aquarius is a great transit that helps us think outside of the box, increase our capacity to understand complicated things (like emerging technology), and open doors for connection with new peers and mentors. Plus, we can become incredibly inspired to dream big and reaffirm the components of our long term vision. Lean into reaching out to new people and stretch yourself to learn something new!
Venus in Pisces (January 2nd - February 2nd)
Personal Insight
Venus in Pisces can help us more deeply explore our spirituality, enjoy music and all the arts (perhaps participating in a few?), leaning more into journaling for personal growth, and prioritizing our mental health. It can also be a supportive time for questioning your beliefs and actively seeking where you’ve been operating under illusion (think lying to yourself about how you really feel regarding a charged situation). As a mutable sign, Pisces asks us to be pliable and not rigid like Aquarius (a fixed sign) can be. Sometimes a way or being or perceiving the world has to fall away and something new is appropriate to adopt; sometimes not. But running from actively challenging where you’re comfortable is not what Venus will allow for these few weeks.
Business Insight
Venus transiting through a water sign can easily benefit your business’ financial state, whether directly or indirectly. Pisces moves in spirals and holds the paradox in high esteem… could it be that you make progress by not pushing as much? Could something seemingly “unrelated” to your goal actually help you achieve it? Be open to the ease and flow that Pisces hints at; this transit reminds you that there are more forces at play then just simply what you do.
Mars in Leo (Nov 3rd - Jun 17th; Retrograde Dec 6th - Feb 23rd)
Personal Insight
Mars in Leo brings a maturing energy to the divine masculine principle within each of us. As Leo is ruled by the Sun, a strong source of courage and confidence is provided by this transit. We just have to be careful not to become haughty! Use Mars in Leo to quiet the inner saboteur that seeks to talk you out of making beneficial decisions for yourself or for continuing to pursue your goals. Push thru the fear--without taking unnecessary risks--and go after what you want. Be sure to play as hard as you work, otherwise you’ll become resentful. Also, take pride in your appearance. This is a transit to show up and show out!
Business Insight
Mars transiting Leo puts the focus on you as the business owner. Here’s where your focus must be to see business growth. Business is also done between people even in product-based enterprises. Amplifying the person ‘behind the brand’ is a key component of any business’ success in our interconnected world. Center your humanity--let people see who you are in your marketing. Attend events especially ones led by other leaders who are further along the path than you. Put yourself out there and be seen!
